embedded Firefox link on Terminal Server 2000

I have a situation where there are 2000 Terminal Servers running IE 6 and very rarely  users run into a Web site that doesn't show up properly in IE 6.  There is an upgrade planned to 2008 R2  but as there are dozens of TS servers involved scattered over multiple locations/countries it's not going to happen overnight.  Is there any way I can create desktop links for these one off situations with Firefox such that a user will click on this type of link and be taken to the Web site but will not otherwise have ability to use Firefox for browsing.  In case the question is asked a switch to Firefox is not a possibility here as there is are several critical sites that will only work with IE that these folks use - the sites that are problematic are very few by contrast and not critical. This is a 'would be nice' type of thing, a minor irritant - not enough to generate a network change all by itself - there really are only 2 sites we have encountered in all this time that have this aversion to IE 6.
