Auto update Gpolicy diable and win xp

once gpolicy is diabled the xp workstations have auto update greyed out. How do I set it up so I can pull auto updates from the internet on the workstation.

start, run, gpedit.msc
computer, admin, windows, windows update
edit them all for 'not configured'
