I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Are you running the console on the web interface server?  You may need to configure and run the discovery again. Are you using centralized web interface configuration files?

actualy Mr DB,
I have citrix with the web interface, I am running the discovery ,it seems doesnt want to appear.

I believe my questions are still valid.
Are you running the console on the server that is your web interface server?
Did you choose to configure and run discovery or just run discovery?
Are you using the local or centralized configuration files?

If all was working and now you cannot connect, restart World wide web service on Web interface server. (or restart server)

is there another server that the web interface was configured on? In version 4.X Citrix allowed you to use centralized configuration files. if the network resource or other server that has the config file are on is  not availible you cannot manage the web interface page.

You could upgrade the web interface to a newer version. in the new versions web interface will pull the centralized configuration file into the web interface server. even though your management console cannot see the config, web interface does and would import it.

Sir
the citrix PS 4.0 is configured stand alone,  no other web interface server, what I have is citrix and all the applications installed on it,your solution is to update the web interface, and how to upgrade it?
thanks

Is there a different user account you could log onto that server with, or is this the only account that has managed the web interface?

i_harfoushAuthor Commented:
actauly Boss
this Citrix server an old system administrator install it, and he hand over it to me,
first when i come I took symantec image, every time the citrix crash i remove the update .net 2.0
if it doesnt work, I restore the Image,
I used to logon to the system under one user which is citrix user to open the console , if i logon to another user the console will not open.

Daniel BorgerSenior Citrix Engineer- CCEECommented:
You should add another Citrix server.

You can setup a citrix server to load balance your apps and configure Web interface.
also when your server crashes you'll have something the users can access with you restore the 1st server.

I have poor resources my company is cutting the jobs , so i have to manage it with my license , I cant add more cost, but still I want to solve this webinterface issue because i have to edit the options in workspace,
the restore of image took 15 minutes, so my end users can understand me,

Daniel BorgerSenior Citrix Engineer- CCEECommented:
I understand, just want to mention there is no cost for adding server in citrix... just users

Go to Citrix.com and download the latest web interface. read the documentation and do an in place upgrade. This will pull your config into the console.

if it breaks you can just restore it :)

Daniel BorgerSenior Citrix Engineer- CCEECommented:
NOTE: Do not install .NET Framework Version 2.0 on systems that are running the Access Suite Console.

see here:http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX105728

install the management console on your workstation.
