Running an .exe application with windows7 required Administrator rights

Running an .exe application with windows7 required Administrator rights, before on XP the application was working fine for normal users without any administrator right. how can I solve this problem on Windows7? in the same time I don't like to add the users as a local administrator.

I use an oracle client, Windows7 and short cut to the application was hosted in the server.

This tutorial should help you out:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/
but remember turning UAC off is a perfect way for disaster if someone else is also using your computer and has basic knowledge  of safe internet surfing.

Turning UAC off is not a good practice from the security point of view. Instead there is a workaround to run the program without the prompt that you may want to try.

1. Right click on the program shortcut and select properties.
2. Go to Compatibility tab and enable the compatibility mode.
3. Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows Vista Sp2" from the drop down list. Click OK.
