Cannot Create VHD

I two new servers one is a Hyper-V 2008 R2 and the other is a Windows Server 2008 Server running Hyper-V role, both of these servers are connected to the same LUN which is Formatted NTFS. I’m attempting to store my VHD’s within this LUN. I can add and remove files from this LUN with no problems with servers.  The issue is when I try to create a VM from Hyper-V MMC wizard. It gets stuck in the process of creating VHD. However, the .vhd file is created, but the wizard never completes VHD creation, eventually the wizard gets stuck and I have a useless VHD. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

I've got a 500GB LUN and my block size is 4096. I have not found any error codes as of yet... Do you know of any logs I might could check?
Did you tried creating a vhd with quickvhd and try to use it in a VM ?
I will look into this and get back to you
Quick vhd created my test VHD named TESTVHD immediately. However, If I use Hyper-V MMC and try to import my TESTVHD if cannot be found. I cannot see any files on my LUN if I am not on local Hyper-V 2008 R2 Server. I have attached some files if you want to review them.
TESTVHD.PNG
EMPTY-DIR.PNG
When you create a vhd from quickvhd you don't IMPORT, Import is done via the configuration files (.xml)

Create a new vm and when it comes to the dialogue box / screen where you specify the size of VHD and Path, then use the option, "use existing VHD" and browse to the path where you have created and saved the vhd file.
The VHD tool allows me to create VHD on Hyper - V host, I still cannot create VM using Hyper - V MMC.
