wordpress header is wider than the body of the blog, how can I make the blog body be the same size as the header

we installed wordpress and it seems like the header is wider than the blog wordpress header is wider than the body of the blog, how can I make the blog body be the same size as the header?

Ok then you need to edit your background image to be about 10px wider.

Then edit your background image like I said. Your background image is designed to blend in so it APPEARS your content is smaller, but that is actually just because the image.

If you just remove the background image you will get a better understanding of how it is affecting your page.
