sys.dm_exec_query_plan Query plan in GUI

When I get the query plan from the above DMV, it is a link to the XML source code. How can I get the graphical plan instead when clicking on it from SSMS?

thanks

Hi
I have the SQL2008 managment studio client tools installed, when yo click on the XML it renders the plan for you in icon format? (SQL 2005 just spits out the XML at you)

is this what you want?

yes, I am using SQL 2005, and it just gives the XML code.Do you have to configure it differently in SQL 2005? (than 2008)

no configuration

it is an enhacement in teh sql2008 client side (managment studio)

you should be able to install teh sql2008 client side tools to manage your sql2005 DB's. AS far as i know the client side tools is not licensed.

Oh, OK.

I searched and got http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C6C3E9EF-BA29-4A43-8D69-A2BED18FE73C&displaylang=en

but that seems for 2008 itself. Is there a separate sql2008 client side tools to manage sql2005 installation.
