Lately we have been having issues with backing up the exchange information store. It starts fine and goes for about 3 to 5 hours and then fails with the following error.
e00084af - The directory or file was not found, or could not be accessed.
On Monday it actually completed fine, but then when backing up to tape it failed with the error
e00084f9 - A communications failure has occurred between the Backup Exec job engine and the remote agent.
The way our backups are configured is they backup to disk onto the backup server and then that backup is backed up to tape. The tape job is set to kick off after the B2D is completed. We are running Exchange 2003 enterprise and backup exec 12.5 rev 2213.
Please let me know if there's any other information you need. I'm not all that familiar with backups as they let our network admin go and I'm just trying to keep things running so bear with me if I need a little more direction in what I need to do.
