DCOM 10009 error in SBS 2008

In our SBS2008 Network Reports we are getting the DCOM 10009 error "DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <computer> using any of the configured protocols." It appers to happen when client machines are turned off. Is there a way to stop SBS from doing this check? Seems like a lot of extra processing to tell us what we already know.
