unfortunately, no contract. my boss did not think it is worth the money and for almost 3yr he was right<br />
I'm out of office at the moment but we bought all the phone together so I assume if there is a manufacturer problem they all should get it BUT why after so long???<br />

 You may check with avaya &nbsp;they might have some bug code for faulty backlights. &nbsp;There could be a possiblitly of things that could happen to blow the backlight, power issue too much not enought something along those lines.

I have an Avaya PBX with Avaya 1616 IP Phones<br />
during the last 2 month 6 phones had the same problem: the display lights died and the numbers are not visible<br />
all the phones are under 3yr (bought them all together)<br />

I cannot imagine that it is just bad luck or a coincidence and trying to look for a cause.<br />
I couldn't find any documentation on this problem and Google didn't find me any useful links.<br />
any ideas?

Avaya 1616 display - no lights
