How do I print out a backup status report in Arcserve 11.1

I have a Windows Server 2003 (Standard Edition with SP2) running "BrightStor Arcserve Backup" version 11.1.

I have 5 backup jobs running Monday thru Friday using 5 separate DLT tapes. Fiday performs a full backup. Monday thru Thursday are incremental backups.

I know this version is several years outdated but still works very well. I recall many years ago when running version 9, I recall automatically printing a backup status page after the job completed. I cant recall how to do this anymore. I do recall something about setting up and configuring an alert.

Could somone help me create these automated printouts? The server is acting as a printer server for several network printers. Arcserve sees the printers.

At some point, I may be switching to "Backup Exec"

Here is a previous question along similar lines (newer version - but essentially the same solution):

If this does not work, I can check my own server / customer server as I am an ARCserve user.

I will look over the documentation. FYI, I only have a standalone server in a workgroup. No Domain

I still cant get it to print out a status report. I went thru all the "Alerts" options. Should I be choosing "Default" or the "Database" option under the alerts configuration. I gotten this to work before and its currently working on a server on the same network. Problem is I cant have two Arcserve discoveries online at the same time. Any suggestions?

Okay - checking my server you will need to modify a backup job, click on the Options Button, Click on the Alert Tab, Make sure you have the Alerts added such as Job Completed, Job Failed etc, then click on the Configure button under Methods & Recipients, select Printer, click Add, then drill down into the Print Queue Server List, find your printer and add it to the Recipient Print Queues.

Click OK 3 times and then Start the Job.

Repeat with all the other jobs!

I finally got around to working on this issue again. I got it to work.
Under "QuickStart", I chose "Alert" which brought up the Alert Manager.I expanded "Configuration" and then Default. Under "Trouble Ticket", I successfully added and tested the printer.

I then followed yur directions under the job itself.

I think where I went wrong is that I expanded "BrightStor AB" instead of "Default" as mentioned above.
Thanks!
