DMS-59 QUICKEST CHEAPEST ADAPTER

I just got a pc to work on  (Dell Vostro 200) with a DMS-59 connector (ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT - graphics adapter - Mobility Radeon HD 2400 XT - 256 MB)

I can't work on this in my shop.  Do you think I can get an adapter at Radio Shack?

I have a big modern 28" HD monitor that sure as heck has lots of interfaces.

I have also a bunch of normoal LCD monitors.

So what is the best way to work on this PC.  I need to hook up monitor.  What adapter can I buy in the morning?  Don't have time to send away for anything.  I have to fix this PC tomorrow.

If you can't get a DMS-59 cable, you may need to swap out the card with another Radeon video card, preferably a 2400XT.  It's not ideal, since resolutions and desktop settings may be affected.

Callandor!  How've you been?  As you can see I continue to submit questions.  I always learn something!

I was pretty shocked at DMS-59.  Like being broadsided!  No worries, my customer offered to bring in her monitor and cabling.  This is the first DMS-59 I've seen, guess I need to keep up better but the repair business ain't what it used to be.

I'm getting more into VPNs now which may be a good added-value service for me.

Take care and thanks for helping!  Really good to hear from you!

Good, getting the customer to bring in their cabling does seem the right thing to do :)
Hmm...maybe you should have given MASQ credit for suggesting that the customer bring in the cable?  It was his comment.
I am awarding you the points because you were right.  The customer brought in the monitor and I didn't have to spend a cent looking for the crazy adapter.

Please accept my apologies for not awarding the points originally.
Callandor - thank you for contributing and keeping me honest.
Thanks (both) - it's not a big problem and both Callandor & I are good for points, more about doing the right thing when someone who does need points misses out.
Appreciate you doing this.
