Autocomplete with Jquery and Asp.net

I am using JQuery plugin for autocomplete textbbox.I am using generic handler for getting data from the database.I
am actually fetching Employeename feom database upto this point I have no issues.
The code I am following is from http://www.eggheadcafe.com/tutorials/aspnet/18b6a1fa-a7cf-4507-84f2-15056fe65bb7/autocompletion-with-jque.aspx
But now I want to fetch EmployeeId along with the name.

How can I get the EmployeeId without showing the ID to the user?

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

I think add the field name EmployeeID in your SQl statement, possibly as under:

select top 10 firstname, EmployeeID from Employee where firstname like

You have to parse the returned result and only display desired values.

You can parse the returned result with JSON or XML parsing.

Perhaps, this link will help you for parsing:
