nVidia Quadro NVS 295 Connection?

Hi experts,

I purchased a computer which came with a motherboard that has an onboard analog video jack. It also contains an nVidia Quadro NVS 295 Connection.

When I connected the computer to the monitor using the analog cable, I could not see the monitor at all. I tried it on three working monitors. I then noticed the other connection. I am not sure if the onboard is defective or if it is turned off in the BIOS, but I can't get into the BIOS to change it.

The monitor has an analog, digitial and another connection I am not familiar with that may be an HDMI. It is rectangular with a slight slant at one end.

The NVS 295 card has two female connections for two monitors both of which look similar to the connection on the monitor. I have no idea how to use these connections to connect to the monitor. I reaad the manual on nVidia's site, and it wasn't very helpful and didn't mention HDMI.

I do have a brand new right out of the box video card from nVidia that I could use, which seems like overkill.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks guys,

You would think the manual would cover that. And, as mentioned, you would think it would come with a converter.

I wonder why there isn't a direct cable.

Support was horrible. First, they answer within minutes 24/7, and tell me a tech will be out in 48 hours. Then the tech I was supposed to call to set up the visit stated the tech couldn't come out until he had the part and it wasn't available at the moment. This was all because I said I either couldn't see the monitor or it wouldn't boot up at all. They kept asking for the type of CPU. I thought it was strange since I had just bought it and gave them the order number, and they couldn't look it up.
Both answers were/are very helpful. Neither was really better, just that HappyCactus did answer the question first.
