IBM Server - 2003, Set up did not find any hard disk drives installed

Hi there,

I am trying to install Server 2003 onto an IBM x3550. However I get the error message:
"set up did not find any hard disk drives installed"

I understand that it can not find the driver for SCSI (I belive), but I dont have a floppy drive and I dont think one would work other than USB on this server. I've tried Slipstreaming some drivers into the installation but didn't like it and didnt even recognise the CD.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Yes, you will need to get the ServeRAID drivers and a USB floppy drive.  Unfortunately this is the only method that works well for 2003.
Are you installing it with IBM Serverguide software?

Hello,

-Download drivers form site & put in floppy.
-Insert windows 2003 CD & press f6 & give the path of floppy drive.
-After that its show hard disk.

HOW did you try to slipstream drivers?  I've done it successfully a number of times using nlite - www.nliteos.com
