Print Server Migration Tools

Hi,

I ran across this software tool and it looks pretty nice.  My manager wanted to see if anyone else has an experiences with this package and/or has used similar utilities successfully.  The URL is at:  http://www.printerpropertiespro.com/products/mover.

We have about 1400 printers and at least one of our print servers is overloaded over the Microsoft recommended 300 queue threshold and another one is close.  I want to balance the queues out with our different print servers which are all virtuals.

In particular I like the seamless way that this software may be able to move the client printer connections as well with no user intervention.  All you have to do is call the executible from a login script.

To answer your question we do use Microsoft's Print Migrator 3.1 version.  It works decent but this package seems to have more capabilities.

Please note that this is not an endorsement for this product or some marketing gimmick.  If you look at my past questions I work in the IT field and my manager wants to do some validation before we go to testing.  Thank you.

I did not think too many people had experience with this particular application but my manager wanted me to see if anyone here did.  I will probably start testing it hopefully soon.  It does check users printer connections via login script.  If testing goes well we may end up doing this.  Thanks.
