Windows 7 - Windows could not be activated
I installed Windows 7 on a system. using our Enterprise MAK key. It has been running fine for a while and now I am getting the following error.
Windows could not be activated
If you continue to see this error message contact your system administrator or technical support department for assistance.
Error:
0x4004F00C
The Software Licensing Service reported that the application is running within the valid grace period
Any ideas on how to get this to register properly?
Thank you,
Steve

maybe you run out of licenses or your key has been revoked

or try Independent Activation using VAMT
I would contact Microsoft as it could get complicated....
Open a command prompt, change directory to Windows\System32 and run:
cscript.exe slmgr.vbs /dlv
What does that show? You could try reinstalling and activating your MAK:
slmgr.vbs /ipk <ProductKey>
slmgr.vbs /ato
And then check with slmgr.vbs /dlv again
Try putting the MS Volume Activation Management Tool v2 ("VAMT") onto a PC and then in it, enter your MAK. The VAMT can then confirm online how many activations you have left on your MAK key. That may help you troubleshoot what is happening. If you've got more than 25 client PCs always online, you can use VAMT to migrate them to KMS activation instead.
I believe you can also check MAK key use here:
