Cache access denied

I got a trojan on my system and cleaned it off.  Now when I search for things on the web I no longer get any adds.  I get 304 errors when trying to change search options or "cache access denied" errors.  I have reinstalled internet explorer and firefox and still get the same error.  It does not matter which search engin I use.  I get the same results.

The links on the search page take me to the wrong web sites.

I have deleted the cache from firefox and ie7.  I have uninstalled and told it to delete all personal data.  Is there another way to clear the cache?
try ESET Nod32 Online tool to scan your computer...

I dont think it is browser setup! It looks like there are still some infected files trying to control your internet and that trojan is having problem when trying to do its job (since you tried to remove it, some missing files/corrupted files)

try different AV to identify it and remove it...
I have a system doing the same thing. Symantec actually found the virus after I ran Adware Away.

Symantec labeled it as Sonar the file was mscdexnt.exe
I got it. After Symantec found its problem. The issue got worse. As I kept scanning testing. My favorite is Malwarebytes and I was able to return the system to the original issue.

Disabled Norton and installed Microsoft Security Essentials, which found Exploit:Java/ByteVerify.J
Nevermind - The problem still exists.
I have run the Malwarebytes and Trend Micro.  I am not finding any threats now.  I have uninstalled both firefox and iexplorer then run Registry Mechanic.  I then did a system restore.  I still have the problem.
Not good. I will find the solution and keep you posted. It is driving me crazy not getting this fixed
Do you know if there is an old DOS command to clear the cache?

The problem ended up being a corrupt host file.  I replaced the file with one from another computer and the problem went away.
Flushing the DNS did not resolve my problem but it lead me to look at the hosts and lmhosts files to resolve my problem.
Awesome,
