Tally ERP 9 over VPN

Hi all ,
I want to use Tally ERP 9 over the VPN . When i try to connect it gives me the following message:

" client system is not directly connected to the same LAN where License server is connectted. License Server cannot serve license for this client"

Could you explain , how to configure Tally ERP 9 over VPN .

it looks like your ERP application is license limited to a "only clients on one LAN" configuration. Which means your vendor has intentionally restricted you from using remote clients on another lan to connect to their product. That is a question you need to ask the vendor to be 100% certain, bu it's pretty lame at any rate.

you could circumvent this by configuring a PPTP VPN, and addressing your remote LAN in the same subnet as your LAN where the software licensing server resides. But PPTP VPNs have drawbacks, for instance all broadcasts on your LAN are sent to your remote client as well, consuming bandwidth.

I configured Dialup VPN with the same VPN pool as of my local LAN . The application is working now but the problem is it is very slow . Remote Desktop is working fine and when i access the application server remotely and run the same application the it is very fast but when i run the application directly through the VPN then it is very slow . I dont want to install terminal server . Is there any solution to boost the speed of this application .
