Adding a Security group as a member to another Security group

Hi,

I am using AD 2003 for my testing of a identity management application in which i have some 100 security group now i want to make some of the security groups as members of other security.when i am trying to add a security group as member it is now showing the group when i do the search,Is this a valid case or should i be changing some policies so that it works.

What type of security group is it.If the Security group belong to global, then you can't place a Domainlocal security group in the global security group.

The Microsoft link Ven provided will give you the details of various groups.  One of the most common methods is to nest Globals into domain locals.   known as AGLP or UGLY, more on those here
