I'm using Visual studio 2010 professional. I'm working in a solution, but the visual studio does not automatically rebuild the solution after I press Ctrl F5, it ran the old version code. I have to rebuild the project manually. Especially, other solutions is working normally in visual studio.
What happend?
Thanks for any help.

Could you send the output of the build process? It might give some details.

Ctrl-F5 I believe does a build, not a "re" build. Are you specifically trying to "re" build the entire solution?

@gyoreg: After clicking Ctrl F5, there's no output int output windows. It just has run the application.
@kaufmed: What's diffrences betweenn rebuild and build? I think that the difference is rebuild will build all dependent assemblies if they are edited or not. On contrary, build action does not build the dependency that is not edited. Right?

I believe so.

Build: build what has been changed.

Clean: delete compiled files

Rebuild: Clean + Build (so it should force to compile everything, even if it has not been changed)

Check your settings under Tools / Options / Projects and Solutions / Build and Run
You have probably put a checkmark in the "Do not show me this prompt again" checkbox so it is no forcing a build.

I don't see the checkbox with the name you gave. I'm using VS 2010.

When press F6 (build)  and then Ctr + F5, VS still also run the old code version. I have to rebuild for it running the newest code version.
One of the cause for ur problem is that when you click on built your project is not build.
Right click on the root solution and select Configuration Manager.
In that check the project project for build.
Please confirm is this build check or not.
