CISCO LINKSYS WAG120N with Time Zone problem

Souled

I have Linksys WAG120N configured with Time Zone GMT+3
I was trying to configure the Internet Access Policy. So I added all my machine's mac address to the policy and gave it a name and status is enabled. Then I choose Deny > Everyday > From 11PM to 8 AM, then save settings.

The problem is, the internet gets blocked in different time not as configured from 11 to 8
I'm guessing it's related to time zone, or maybe the router has another clock or something. Is there anyway to get the policy working correctly based on the provided times?

Check Linksys for a firmware upgrade.

What is the difference in time between what you set and what times are blocked?  e.g. can you change the time block to accommodate for the clock disparity to see if it works?

firmware is up to date.. and yes i thought of accommodating the clock,, but i will end up with a different time zone,, i want to resolve it instead of working around it

btw,,  there seem to be 3 hours difference,, if i choose 8PM to 5AM, the internet will be blocked between 11PM to 8AM

Correction to my previous post, 7PM will actually block internet at 11PM (on GMT+3 timezone)

Hi Souled,
I should have the possibility to check this tomorrow with a WAG120N, I'll check with some people I know at Linksys if this is a known issue.

Hi Souled,
Just got confirmation that they've been able to see the exact same issue, they're escallating it now so it can be fixed for the new firmware.

Hi Souled,
Apparently there already is a Beta firmware which resolves this issue. It can be obtained through Linksys support through a "Beta Test Participant Agreement"
A final firmware version should according to them come available soon, how "soon" that is they couldn't tell me.

LucF,
Thank you for the feedback. How is it possible to obtain a copy from the beta firmware through one of the test participants?

Hi Souled,
You should be able to just call Linksys support and they can send you an agreement.

Hmm... I haven't been able to test the firmware myself as I don't have the device, but I got promised that one solves the issue. Have you reset the device to factory defaults after upgrading?
