How to run SQL Server 2000 DTS packages from SQL Server 2005 Agent Job?

Hi,

I've migrated our SQL Server 2000 DTS packages to our SQL Server 2005.  I'm trying to setup a SQL Server Agent job to run these packages. I found some info from this URL: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms139805(SQL.90).aspx.  In the Job Step properties, I used Operating system (cmdExec) type.  For the command, I need to create the command line to paste it into the job step.  It says in the URL, that I can use Execute Package Utility (dtexecui.exe).  However, the utility gives me only the SQL Server 2005 SSIS Package but not the SQL Server 2000.  Also, it is stated that I can use a batch file that invokes the dtsrun utility (dtsrun.exe).

Can someone give me steps on how I may create a command line from dtexecui.exe for a SQL Server 2000 DTS package?
Also, a sample of a batch file that invokes the dtsrun.exe which I can paste in the job step?

Thanks.
Pacita

This is how I run some DTSX packages from the command line (you just select the operating system like you said to run it).

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\90\DTS\Binn\DTExec.exe /FILE "FullFilePathHere"

Setting up the step command line using below works fine.
DTSRUN.exe /Sserver /Usa /Ppassword /Npackage name /Mpackagepassword /G{B6D5F1F0-38B9-46DE-8EA5-329AA5B500C1} /V4693FB21-0AE6-41B4-B1B7-B4C17AD113EA}

So is it solved?  Incidentally do not use the /G parameter or /V parameter or you will have to remember to change them every time you update the DTS package.

The DTS package works as setup.  If I don't use the /G or /V parameter, would it work though?  I did not try.
