Per the Migration Guide I tried to move the Public folders to the new SBS 2008 server. When I selected "Copy all Replicas" to the new server, received the following error:
"The received Certificate has expired"
ID no: 80090328
Exchange System Manger

Don't have a Default SMTP Virtual Server. Don't know what it is?

You need one to sync public folders. It is created as part of a default SBS server. If you don't have it then someone deleted it.

As far as "what it is" it is a service that exchange 2003 uses to communicate with the outside world via SMTP.

Found it, checked the entire document and I am compliant?

Well, the error seems pretty straight forward. The certificate protecting your SBS 2003 IIS default website is expired. If it is a 3rd-party cert then you could renew it. Otherwise you could always generate a new one.

Plz give me directions as to how to create a certificate for a Public folder?

You don't create it for a public folder.  You create it for IIS.

For an SBS 2003 server, that usually means re-running the Configure E-mail and Internet Connection Wizard, commonly referred to as CEICW.  One of its steps will create the certificate and tie it into IIS.

Found it created the certificate, not the error message is gone when I try to replicate. However, it has been days and it appears that I have not replicated from the old server 2003 to new server with exchange 2007, because the Public Folder Instances are still there and I am still receiving Sync issues at each client
