Bacula Tape / Volume name recovery.

gavin_d asked
Last Modified: 2013-11-14
I am currently involved in running backups using Bacula. While this is mostly success ful, sometimes there is an issue when the tape volume is not correctly recognised. How do I check the name / label of the tape currently in the drive. And when I run the mount command afer a append or purge, how do I ensure that the job will run. Someone did show me a method of using Putty to connect to the server and querying the tape to find it's volume / name...but I have forgotten how? Any help greatfully received.
