Mainframe Data Stored to PC Disk

I need to copy a file from z/OS mainframe tape to disk.

Is there a way to attach my PC disk to the mainframe, so the mainframe (z/OS) can write directly to the extra disk drive on my PC?

If the answer is NO, that is fine.  I just need to know whether attaching/connectiong the PC disk to the mainframe is possible.

Extra points for explaining how to make this work or why it can not work.

As always, any information will be extremely much appreciated.

If you have a NFS server on your PC, you can mount that from the mainframe.

However, I would suggest using ftp.

You can either use the ftp client on your PC and the ftp server on your mainframe, assuming you have it running on the mainframe.  Or you can setup a ftp server on your PC and run a ftp client from your mainframe.

ftp is an obvious answer, thank you.

Thanks also regarding the network file server.
