asked on

configure aironet 1140

I just configured a cisco wireless controller 2100 and connected 2 aironet 1140 to it.

I can see the 2 AP on the controller but I don't see any wireless signal.

It shows on the AP box that the radios are turned off. I then tried connecting to the AP via the IP I found on the controller but that doesn't work. I then access it via CLI but I can't enter privilege mode.
I can enter the exec mode but conf t doesn't work.
on the AP it keeps reloading this:
*Jun 11 17:54:10.604: %LWAPP-3-CLIENTERRORLOG: Set Transport Address: no more AP
 manager IP addresses remain

*Jun 11 17:57:26.612: lwapp_image_proc: unable to open tar file

I tried resetting the AP by pressing the mode button and power the AP but that doesn't seems to be working either.

I am stuck here and any help will be greatly appreciated

What IOS are these ap's running?

Can you get to the power injector options of the ap's on from the controller?  I have to select power injector check box before I can enable the radios.

Hi, it seems the APs not seeing the wlan controller AP manager leg! Please set APs and AP mgmt leg same VLAN

ASKER

IOS is 12.3(8)

I set one of the AP on the power injector and the other one on the POE but still same issue.

@Ikalmar I agree with you but they are on the same subnet. they are getting an IP from DHCP but I can't ping them so I am thinking this is the issue. My problem is that I can change any configuration on the AP from the CLI as I can't access the privilege mode :-/
Hi did you confugured correctly the dhcp options of wlc?

I used our dhcp server and I believe it works since the AP gets an IP. I might have missed an option on the WLC but they are communicating with each other because if I changed the AP name then the change will reflect on the controller side
thanks
