java.lang.ClassFormatError: Incompatible magic value

The following error occurs when i try to run a signed jar through the browser :

java.lang.ClassFormatError: Incompatible magic value 1347093252 in class file com/xyz/client/gui/swing/MainApplet

(when I run it unsigned I have the error: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied, not the magic error)

I dowloaded the latest JDK available yesterday, 1.6.0_20
I have the latest JRE : 1.6.0_20-b02

To sign the jar I used the tools in the bin package of the downloaded JDK.

The classes are compiled using Eclipse

Can anyone help with this ?
Thank you !
