pppoe connection....

Hi all ,

I have a adsl connection in bridge mode ... due to some reasons i had to poweroff modem and start it again . Now i cant connect to the internet... I have restarted the server as well..

Can you please tell me what command can i run to bring it up.

You may have to enter the PPPOE userid and password. Go into the modem configuration and check the PPPOE settings. Your basic modem docs will give you the web management address. ... Thinkpads_User

like pon dsl-provider or pppoe dsl-providor on ubuntu

If you are trying to manage the modem (which is independent of Ubuntu or Windows), open a web browser of your choice and enter the modem address (e.g. 192.168.1.1) in the address bar. Log in and manage the modem. You don't need / should not need a command line for this. ... Thinkpads_User

You normally have to make a Web connection with a browser to get to the management page which is usually your gateway address.

ok I checked logs here is what i am getting

/var/log/messages

Timeout waiting for PADO packets

Any Idea ????
