Cisco 3524XL Voice VLAN

luc_roy asked
Ok I have looked at and attempted everything I could.  I can get my phones to work on my Cisco 3524XL but I can only get a single VLAN to work on each interface.  If I do voice and access vlans nothing works.  If I remove the voice and do just access it issues IP’s and registers the phones.  The PC and phone end up in the same subnet and the same vlan?

I have configured it to block and limit the vlans because of the 3524’s limitations on vlans and I have a single management vlan interface enabled.

I have attempted both the trunking and VOICE / Data VLANS and nothing works.

Can you have two functional vlans on the interfaces on a 3524XL?  I would like the phones to issue the data subnet and be on a voice subnet.

I assume your phones are tagging VLAN 10 for voice traffic and trunking VLAN1 for data in this config example:
You should be able to do this on your ports:
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk native vlan 1
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10

close... here is what I figured out last night.... it was one of those that hits you on your way to bed.

 switchport access vlan 103
 switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
 switchport trunk allowed vlan 102,103
 switchport mode trunk
 switchport voice vlan 102

sorry I forgot I also had to make vlan 103 native on the router.

Again thanks
