I decided to just delete the code in the default page and I added the below, but I got the same error:

<%@ Page Language="VB" AutoEventWireup="false" CodeFile="Default.aspx.vb" Inherits="_Default" %>

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head id="Head1" runat="server">
    <title></title>
</head>
<body>
    <form id="form1" runat="server">
    <div>

    </div>
    </form>
</body>
</html>

Please try the following:

Under the root path in IIS configuration, under "Home Directory" under the field "local path" verify that it does not contains trailing backslash.

Example:
"c:\inetpub\mycompany\" is not the same as "c:\inetpub\mycompany" apparently now.

Remove the trailing backslash if it contians.

I checked and it doesnt have the backlash...does it matter that the "A" record is NOT set up yet?
Does code behind exist?
