Second date picker field to automatically jump to month selected in first date picker field

I have created a leave application form using Infopath. Users are complaining that when entering future dates in a Start and End date picker, they have to scroll through the date picker for both fields. They have requested the calendar for the endDate field automatically jump to the same month as the startDate after it is entered. My remedy was to set the default value for endDate to equal startDate. However, despite the form looking fine, when the completed form is re-opened, the endDate has reverted to the default value (startDate).

Unfortunately we have InfoPath 2003. Our Office 2010 disks arrived today, so we may look at upgrading soon. No way to do this in 2003 that you know of?
Thanks wasn't able to do it that way, but for anyone else wanting to do this using Infopath 2003, just write a rule setting DatePicker2 to the date selected in DatePicker1. Using a rule was the key point here
Ultimately helped me find the final solution.
