This is a dell, and yes it is a cd that came from dell.<br />

The point that it is failing is during the device drivers loading. &nbsp;It never makes it to the repair or start from scratch screen.

Check your RAM. Try reseating the modules. Replace it or try it using 1 memory module at a time in different slots.<br />
If that doesn't do it I would try another hard drive.<br />

The CD will not install on this machine even though it is &nbsp;a dell machine the disk is bad from what I can tell or to old for the machine that it is being installed in. &nbsp;Windows7 loaded just fine with no issues

When trying to install a fresh copy of XP on a machine I am getting an APCI.sys corrupt error. &nbsp;this is happening with multple copy's of cd's and multiple different drives. &nbsp;I need some suggestions I searched the internet and have not really found a solution other than some people have fixed the problem but didnt' say how.
