Hi,

What kind of system is it?  ie, who is the manufacturer.  Are you using the CD that came with it?

Good Luck,

At what point in the installation do you get the error?

ASKER

This is a dell, and yes it is a cd that came from dell.

The point that it is failing is during the device drivers loading.  It never makes it to the repair or start from scratch screen.

Check your RAM. Try reseating the modules. Replace it or try it using 1 memory module at a time in different slots.
If that doesn't do it I would try another hard drive.

The CD will not install on this machine even though it is  a dell machine the disk is bad from what I can tell or to old for the machine that it is being installed in.  Windows7 loaded just fine with no issues
