Can not add user to BES server

We are doing an SBS 2003 to 2008 server migration. I found out the hard way that BES is not supported on SBS 08. So, I installed the BES on an XP box. Everything worked until I tried to add a user.

When I try to add a user to the BES server, all the fields are blank. I can't pick a user. I have attached an image. There is nothing in the drop down menu ether. Any idea what I'm doing wrong here?

areyou are logging on to the server as BesAdmin? have all the services started? is the BES server at the same patch level regarding exchange patches as the exchange server?

Yes, I'm logging in as BesAdmin. All the services have started except for BlackBerry Database Consistency Server. I assume this isn't needed because it's set to manual. You last question doesn't make scene to me. (Sorry, I very rarely do BES admin) However all exchange updates have been done and the latest BES server was downloaded for the install a couple of days ago.

Blackberry servers use exchange components (or at least they used to), part of the prereqs for bes was to install the exchange managment tools for example Those components had to be at the same patch level on the bes server as they did on the exchange server so if you ran an update on exchange bes needed that same update. Make sense now?

Ended up that I needed to get the latest edition of BES to get it to work on SBS 2008
