I keep getting the following error despite the fact this user does not exist on active directory or distribution list.  please advise on how to correct.

You may need to update your offline address book.
r u sending the message to a group? if yes then you need to remove that user from the group...


The user does not exist on any group, it is permanently removed from AD.  It could be a locally cached offline address book issue.
