I am trying to resize a virtual disk on a production guest OS. I would use VM Converter to do this task but in order to utilize this tool the VM GUEST OS. I would prefer the machine be on while the disk is copied overed and resized as the image is 650GB and I need to resize 1.2TB. using the VMWARE tool it was going to take overt 1 day to this operation.

Is there a way  to copy the GUEST OS and resize it while the GUEST OS is on? My goal is to minimize the time the GUEST OS is off.

You can resize it with vCenter Converter. You can select the Source option to "Powered on machine" if you need the VM on while it does the conversion.

It works and you will get 500pts.

Do you know if there is a way to create a virtual disk that over 1000GB =1TB? I can create a volume that is over 1TB. ie more than one virutal disk that sum over 1TB. I need a virtual disk inside the volume to be more the 1TB.

I don't mean to sound unhelpful, but you will actually need to post that question in another post since asking multiple questions in a thread is frowned upon by EE (see: http://www.experts-exchange.com/help.jsp#hs=23&hi=23). Since I monitor questions frequently as they are posted, I will be able to continue assisting.

Glad you're all take care of with the P2V!... :)
