Print to Canon MF5750 Laserjet in Ubuntu

I want to print from my Ubuntu desktop to a networked Canon MF5750 Laserjet. This driver is not installed by default. Is it possible to get this working? I don't mind if it doesn't work perfectly all the time, if I can only print text properly.

Is it possible to use a generic printer driver? I've tried PCL5 and Postscript, and that didn't work, although there are several of these and I didn't try them all.

That's a pretty useless site, as it links to Canon for the drivers, which was the first place I've looked.
Unfortunately, it does not support Linux or Mac.
Probably a "host based" printer that is limited to working with Windows
