I just updated my browser from Internet Explorer 7 to Internet Explorer 8. Since I changed to IE 8 I can't load http://www.comcast.net.
This is the site where I need to log into to get my email.
This s the only site I am having trouble with since I went to IE 8.
The browser address bar flashes https://www.comcast.net.
I have tried:
1. using IE 8 Compatibility Settings (set to use for all sites)

Here is the exact address IE 8 can't open:
https://login.comcast.net/login?s=portal&ts=b41c37cd&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.comcast.net%2F&passive=1

The message at the botton left says:
Waiting for http://www.comcast.net
Try this
Control Panel > Internet Options > Privacy > make the settingsd medium, and check if it's restricted in the site

Try:
make your firewall OFF
your antivirus OFF
try opening the site by another browser like FireFox
try : Start > Run > cmd > Nslookup www.comcast.net

Nslookup www.comcast.net

not Nslookup alone
put the Bold sentence please
on start menu > run type "cmd" then press enter
on cmd window type "ping comcast.net"
see if you get 4 reply answers or 4 request time out answer.
with this test you could find is this your dns problem or your browser problem.
