Hi

Just want to confirm if Opera Mobile browser is free of charge at all versions or editions, as I am confused after reading the following article with not date given.

Do I have to pay for Opera Mini?

No, Opera Mini is free. Depending on how you get Opera Mini, your service provider may charge you for the actual download. Your service provider may also charge for the data you use when surfing with Opera Mini. When using Opera Mini, webpages are optimized and compressed before being sent to your phone. Therefore, the data transferred to your phone is significantly reduced, making mobile surfing cheaper.

Nokia E72.

I tried to download Opera Mobile from Opera's site using the E72 and it seemed stopped there after downloading, the only option was to "dismiss" it...

Yes, I noticed that. It seems not "officially" free yet, only de-facto free. :)

LOL! If the device is NOT supported, then it is NOT free? :)

It sounds as if you have some other issue because it is free.
Try redownloading, uninstalling, and reinstalling. If you still have issues, post back or visit the Opera Mobile forum for Symbian at http://my.opera.com/community/forums/forum.dml?id=74.
