Setup Alerts for entire Team Site?

Can I setup an Alert for an entire site or do I have to go into each List, Document Library and Announcement and setup separately.

not possible out of the box.
You cannot set an Alert on a "site" as a whole. The Alerts must be configured per List/Library.
However, in theory, you could script out creating the Alerts. For example, you could create a Powershell script that would enumerate all Lists/Libraries on a site, and create an Alert according to your specifications. This would accomplish what you are looking for, without having to manually create each alert. It would take a little more work up front, but then you could reuse your script.
