TFS 2010 upgrade from 2008
Hi there,
I'm trying to do a migration upgrade from TFS2008 to TFS2010 - so I'm installing everything on new hardware. Followed the MS instructions to the letter, and restored databases and encryption key from original server. All seems to appear fine, right up through the Upgrade Wizard, Readiness Checks etc. then it runs through the Upgrade process and fails with the error TF246017: Team Foundation Server could not connect to the database.
It is a single server install with SQL 2008, and WSS 3.0, on top of Windows Server 2008 R2.
Hope someone can help me please...

Hi Ramada,
Thanks for your response. The first article is not the same way as I performed the upgrade, as I followed the MS instructions (TFSInstall-3292010.chm). He seems to get the same problem at the end anyway, with no resolution stated.
The second article I followed and ran a dbcc check db command on each of the databases which reported no problems. Problem still exists.
I am now ignoring MS instructions and following http://blog.hinshelwood.com/archive/2010/05/03/upgrading-team-foundation-server-2008-to-2010.aspx which tells you to create new install then restore databases - the opposite way round.

IS this still an issue ?
