SQL Server 2008 Audit of all Administrator Activity

Hi Everyone,

I have been asked to audit of all administrator users activities on an SQL Server 2008 database. This audit will be performed once a week on a set time. What is the best and easiest way to accomplish this?

Should I use SQL Tracing or SQL Server Audit ? and do either have a large impact on the performance of the DB?

Thanks in advance,
John

use SQL profiler, configure your trace filter, for specific activities and save the data directly to a sql table of a file , which ever you prefer.

it doesnt effect the peformance of the server much.
