Recently on a reboot our server comes up to the Hardware profile menu. Since we do not have multiple profiles set up our only option is Profile1. All that needs to be done is to hit the enter key.
This causes issues during the automated reboot schedule. This is a production server at a remote location so there isnt' anybody to get it back up right away, it takes a phone call to get somebody out of bed, dial in, etc, etc.
It is acting as if we have the "Wait until I select a hardware profile" radio button selected.
So far I've gone into the hardware profiles area and have done the following:
Changed the time to auto select a profile.
Created a new profile and made it the default.
Gone into the profile properties and unchecked the box "Always include this profile as an option when Windows starts"
Checked the "wait until I select a profile" button, rebooted, then when back to set it to 10 seconds (hoping this would clear something up).
I can change any option and I can see that the changes are recorded in the registry. I've made the same changes on a test server here, I verify the registry keys are identical, and reboot both boxes. The test machine acts as it should.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
