How Can I Use AppleScript to Insert a Row in Excel for Mac 2008?
I need to create a keyboard shortcut to insert a row in a spreadsheet in Excel 2008 for Mac. Since Microsoft stupidly removed VBA from Office 2008, I suppose I'll need to use Applescript, which I have never used.
I want to be able to highlight a row in Excel by clicking on it and then press a shortcut key that will trigger the script to do the equivalent of Insert, Row.

Have you tried pressing Cmd, Shift and + together? (not in front of a Mac now, but that's the default Windows shortcut if you have selected a row.

Just to clarify Royra's answer. Use Ctrl - i (as in India). Don't want other people to see that as an L.
