HP Pavilion TX2500 won't boot

Hello Experts,

I have a HP Pavilion Tablet Laptop that won't boot. All keyboard lights and monitor lights (DVD controls) illuminate except the actual monitor, it does not come on and is completely black. No HP logo or BIOS info comes on. Just stays black when I turn on the power.

I did notice that there are two light flashing, the CAPS lock and Num Lock lights are flashing in patterns of 2.

What does this mean?

Connect an external LCD screen and see if you can see any information on it. Check the battery, make sure the external power supply connector is making good connection and charging the battery.

I just tried to connect to external monitor and still no luck. Not sure how to check the battery and a/c adapter but I tried with both, just battery, and just a/c and same no luck.
You will have to repair or replace the motherboard. It's not real difficult to do it yourself. Here is a place that will repair it for you.

The flashing lights may mean some type of error code.

Did you check the HP Site for the blink code ?

I hope this helps !

I took out the hard drive completely. I reseated the RAM. I tried a different RAM in both slots. I found what the blinking means.

2 blinks = BIOS Corruption

What does this mean and how can I fix it?

Hi, BIOS corruption sounds strange and unlikely.
Try to find the service guide on the internet for this machine and first of all do a strip down-remove memorys, hdd, optical, mini cards, modem module if any, keyboard and if possible by this model, remove the cmos battery for a minute. Try then power the machine up, if the codes change, insert 1 componenent after another (by system powered off), start with the memory to isolate the component that causes the issue.
If the code does not change when stripped down, you probably need to have the mobo replaced.
