Interact with Skype using VB.Net

I would like to initiate Skype calls from a program developed in VB.Net.  I have looked at the Skype API and the zip is corrupted.  I would prefer a code sample to enable me to do this without reference to this API if possible.

To your statement, "I would prefer a code sample to enable me to do this without reference to this API if possible.", In order to use the Skype software to make calls you will need to use there API's.and therefore not possible.

I have tried to download the API however it is corrupt each time, hence the request.  If you know of a none corrupt version and have a sample I would accept that as a solution.

Have you tried downloading the API's from a different system. You may need to email Skype support and work with them to find out why your downloads end up corrupted because if you are having this issue so are others.

I do not have the Skyp API's or any sample code.

Hi Alyanto;

As I stated in my first post this is NOT possible without using the Skype API's. In my second post I stated that you would need to work with Skype so that you can get access to a working API. Therefore the question has been asked and answered. Sometimes the answer to a question is no that can't be done.

I have tried to close the question the process to do so is not obvious.  The solution offered did not meet the criteria.  the criteria was forced due to the failure of a 3rd party; their opensource API was unavailable.  Fernando response was informative but it was not a solution.  I would do not feel that Fernando deserves the full reward however 10% of it would seem fair.

Hi Alyanto;

The initial question was, "I would prefer a code sample to enable me to do this without reference to this API if possible.", The answer too your question as posted in my first post is, "In order to use the Skype software to make calls you will need to use there API's.and therefore not possible.", So the simple answer to the question is NO it is not possible.

As far as closing the question it will automatically be closed on Sunday.
