I just cant get this %^&* thing to work.....

1. Correct Drivers ARE installed.
2. Using the LGOutlookSync.MSI from thier site.
3. LG Software updater recognizes the connection.....
4. LG Outlook Sync in Outlook flashes NOT CONNECTED......
5. USB Connection is set to Data in the phone settings....
6 Windows 7/XP both see the device just fine in the Device Manager.....

Im getting ready to shoot this thing.....

I have been all over various forums. Looking for someone with experience with THIS phone.....

Attempting the LG Phone Sync Suite shortly.....

Even tried transferring via BlueTooth from my CrackBerry, and the only ones that sunc were the ATT "Account Helper" contacts, which led me to believe that maybe the format is unsupported in the LG.....

Thanks!!

Should have known.... LG PC Suite failed to connect to the device, although it knows it is there....

Do these perhaps use a special Data Cable thats pinned out differently than a standard micro usb cable?

It seems that your LG phone cannot sync using the LGOutlookSync.MSI. For details, please see the link below:-

http://www.att-phones.org/att-lg-xenon-free-software-lg-outlook-sync-download.html

According to Duane, it says:-

"So far, I can say that I CAN’T get this to work…. can’t get my PC to properly recognize the Xenon GR500 when it’s in the “Data Service” mode (which is required for sync’ing)….

when I connect the Xenon to my PC using the USB data cable, the PC recognizes it as a GR500, then pops up the wizard for installing the drivers. At this point, nothing works. If I select “connect to the internet to find device drivers”, that fails. And if I select the “let me choose” option, I point it to the folder where I installed the LG USB Modem Driver, and that fails too…

I took the first cable back to the Spring store, and they gave me a different cable to try, but, same problem."

Of course I read the directions, which is why I already stated the steps I did. I have read the forums at att-phones.com, and yes I have seen some remarks that the xenon will not sync. However, I have seen more numerous links that leads me to believe it CAN sync.....

I appreciate the comments, but I am looing for someone with personal experience with this phone....

I have ordered a SI writer, which will be here in a few days. Might be my only option...

Im not worried about a regular sync everyday, just want to get the 350 contacts into the device to start with......

Understood your pain.

I do not only any LG phone as I need to update the contacts regularly to my phone. In my opinion, Crackberry is the best PDA phone.

The other option is to export all contacts into .vcf file and send / copy them to the phone one by one.

Sending them via BlueTooth is going to work ok. I can even do them in bulk...... I had to switch laptops since I originally couldnt pair with my main one.... Fresh image, things are working good......

But there is no one by one limit though..... Just to clarify....
