I am trying to set up my development environment on my windows 7 64-bit machine. I have go in and check off the asp.net, .net extensibility, asp, server-side includes in the IIS windows feature window. Under handler mappings in IIS there are three *.aspx, one for factory-intregrated, one from  the normal framework and one from the framework64. I have coldfusion server on the computer as well but I have tried stopping that service then run the page to now avail. Is there something I am missing?

Make sure that you have uploaded your application in correct location. Also, make sure that Asp.Net id allowed to execute from IIS. To check this, open IIS -> select your machine name -> ISAPI nd CGI Retrcityions.

both, the one in framework and framework64, are allowed. I have placed the folder in the wwwroot.

Sometimes this happens if .aspx is not mapped in IIS. Go to IIS -> Expand "Sites" -> Select your website -> go to "Handler mapping". From here, check whether .aspx has proper DLL assigned.

Exactly the problem. The *.aspx handler mappings were listed for my whole IIS server but for the web application folder for my individual application folder. I had to go to the application folder for the individual site, go to handler mappings and the *.aspx handlers for both the framework and the framework64 dll.
