Draft/Expired Pages in SharePoint

Hello,

When a page expires in SharePoint2007, its status is changed to Draft, instead of expired.

Do you know why is this the case?

Am I able to change the status name from "Draft" to "Expired"?

Can at least the pages/announcements that have been expired be shown separately in onother view (even though their status may be draft)?

In a publishing site, pages that are in a draft status can only be seen by certain members of the site. I imagine that this is done to prevent people from accessing the page and accidentially see the wrong information.
As for changing it, that would depend on the options avialable for the status column, if Expired is an option then you should be able to change it.
You can create a new view for the library or list that you are looking at, set the list view to filter and show items that have an "Expire" or end date that is less than [Today] this will show you all items that have technically exipred, regardless of their status.
