Sybase SQL Anywhere synchronisation or replication between desktop and laptop

I have a customer, who runs the same application from a desktop, when at home, or a laptop when on the move. That application uses a DB Sybase SQL Anywhere with SQLANYWHERE runtime client tools.

So both machines get part of the application data.

Is there a tool that allows me to replicate or synchronise the content of these databases? Ofc, the SQL schema of the db of both the machines are identical. It's only the rows of data of all the tables that have to move between the databases.

Please help me fast as my customer leaves on vacation soon (thursday 8 july) and he stresses the need to have all the consolidated data available on his laptop.

The need for the tools is to work in a lan environment. No remote synchronisation / replication is required.

Thx for any help.

Extra info. I found out that the version of sybase SQLAnywhere used in the application is version 9.

Db central crashes with Java issues in that version on my hardware.

Please I need help fast on this only 2 or 3 days left to solve this.

Henri, you'll need the correct version of the tools to do anything with this, can you get hold of the v9 install?

SQL Anywhere includes SQL Remote which does exactly what you need, and can be set up through (the correct version of) SQL Central. It's well documented in the free Sybase manuals, available online at

http://infocenter.sybase.com/help/index.jsp?topic=/com.sybase.help.adaptive_server_anywhere_9.0.2/title.htm

Take a look at the SQL Remote User's Guide at that link, it has everything you'll need to do this.
